3. when did you last cry? yesterday morning. because i was tired and the peeps here are hell bent on not letting me get any shut-eye.
4. do you like your handwriting? yes. mostly. it all depends on my mood.
5. what is your favorite lunch meat? i'm not much of one for the lunch meat these days, but when i was a kid i looooooooooooved olive loaf. god help us all.
6. if you were another person would you be friends with you? hell yeah. i need someone like me around to do all the stuff i do for everyone else ;) seriously, i doubt i could tolerate myself as a friend because i'd be all like, "ssst. whatever. that bitch thinks she knows everything."
7. do you have a journal? only of the bloggy kind. all my actual bound book-type journals have a few scribbled-on pages--the rest are blindingly blank.
8. do you still have your tonsils? indeed. but i am lacking in the appendix department.
9. would you bungee jump? i certainly like to believe i would, but now that i have kids i think it's more likely i'd opt out in fear that i'd die a horrid death and leave them alone with their father who does things like put a sponge in the microwave for four minutes on high (ostensibly to kill bacteria) and walks away only to have his five year old discover it's on fire.
10. what is your favorite cereal? do i have to choose? when i was a kid it was lucky charms. for the marshmallows of course. these days i like anything multi-grainy. i love me some granola and i like to buy and eat good friends cereal because now i can say, every day, that i ate my good friends. (and have i mentioned that i'm lacking in a certain amount of class?)
11. do you untie your shoes when you take them off? no. it's my own personal mr. rogers rebellion.
12. do you think you are strong? yes. physically and mentally. it's bordering on ridiculous, actually. don't let that crying over lack of sleep fool you. it's seriously been six years since i slept through the night and i had just had. it.
13. what is your favorite ice cream flavor? ice cream isn't on my list of foods, period. lactose issues. so i'll just say coffee frozen yo with junior mints mixed in.
14. shoe size? 8 1/2
15. red or pink? i prefer a nice burgundy, myself.
16. what is the least favorite thing about yourself? besides my ass and thighs? my inability to slow down.
17. whom do you miss the most? of my friends? doug. he symbolizes something for me that i haven't really gotten a good handle on yet. all i really know is that i miss him on a different level than i miss other people. i miss my great-grandmother too--she was a pistol. i would have loved to have seen her with my babies.
18. do you want everyone to send this back to you? only if they want to.
19. what color pants, shirt and shoes are you wearing? black, black, and grey with black (i just worked out). but if i weren't wearing black pants you'd know the person writing this would be an imposter.
20. last thing you ate? half of a pumpkin muffin i made this morning.
21. what are you listening to right now? the silence created by a sleeping baby and an out-to-lunch husband and son. yay me, right?!
22. if you were a crayon, what color would you be? periwinkle. because it sounds ticklish and it's the name of something i just created.
23. favorite smell? clean babies, freshly cut grass, and an apple pie in the oven.
24. who was the last person you talked to on the phone? the hubs, because we're out of laundry detergent.
25. the first thing you notice about people you are attracted to? their eyes and their sense of humor.
26. do you like the person you stole this from? i LOVE the mater. she is a delight and an example to maters everywhere.

28. favorite sport? i can't say that i really have a favorite sport. um. maybe cycling? curling? i think i'll make curling my favorite sport because truth be told, it's just about the only way i'll ever make it to the olympics.

31. do you wear contacts? yes. and i frequently toy with the idea of ordering colored ones but never do.
32. favorite food? this is an unfair question to ask a chef. it would be much easier to find out what is my least favorite food. so easy that i'm going to tell you. i despise andouillette. god does that stuff make me gag.
33. scary movies or happy endings? i have no need for scary movies. happy endings, please.
35. summer or winter? beh. i like them all. my least favorite probably being winter.
36. hugs or kisses? both. in large quantities, please.
37. favorite dessert? i think i'll go for a rich, dark, chocolatey brownie or souffle. or tiramisu. oh, god, or creme brulee.
38. who is most likely to respond? haven't a clue. surprise me.
39. least likely to respond? another bogus question.
40. what books are you reading? the human experiment, the last harry potter (yes, i know, i'm the only person on earth who hasn't gotten around to reading it yet) and the 3 a.m. epiphany.
41. what's on your mouse pad? people still use those?
42. what did you watch last night on tv? four episodes of 24 from season 2. i'm catching up.
43. favorite sounds? i have two kids. my favorite sounds is no sounds...alright, i'm not that cynical. i love the windchimes we have at the school, the sound of crunching leaves in the fall, the distant echo of the lighthouse sending out a warning call in the foggy bay, rain on the roof, and of course, the ocean.
44. the rolling stones or beatles? stones. on every level.
45. the farthest you've been from home? this week? about five miles. how pathetic is that for a former travel writer? in my lifetime? more than three thousand miles, at least. i never really paid much attention to the miles.
46. what's your special talent? how much time do you have? hee. kidding. i have no idea. maybe that i'm able to figure out how to do just about anything with very little outside input.
